Representative sampling is of decisive importance for in- and on-line particle size analysis. Sympatec provides a family of representative samplers, which can be used in in- or on-line applications with current pipe diameters from 35 mm to 660 mm.
For representative sampling all areas of the cross-section of the process pipe has to be sampled equally weighted. TWISTER scans the pipe diameter on a spiral line with constant path velocity, starting in a shielded parking position at the wall, moving to the centre and continuing to the parking position at the wall, without intermediate stop in the centre.
