Particle size analysis of suspensions and emulsions in the size range from 0.1 µm to 87.5 µm with very smallest amounts of precious or active substances
Together with the stationary CUVETTE 6 the compact laser diffraction sensor HELOS/BR forms a particularly suitable combination for wet measurement of smallest amounts of finely dispersed samples with particle sizes ranging from 0.1 µm to 87.5 µm. Typical applications involve substances that are very intricate to manufacture, therefore valuable and only available in small quantities. Due to their active or toxic properties, special sample handling is often required, and measurements need to be managed with small volumes.
The streamlined geometry of the 6 ml stationary cuvette ensures that even small sample volumes are optimally presented. A manual stirrer delivers the necessary homogenisation of the sample prior to the measurement.
The cuvette consists of high-grade optical glass and all joints are sintered, so it is extremely chemically resistant and suitable for most dispersing fluids. Potential contamination of the sample is effectively prevented, as a result of which complete recovery and reuse of the sample in its original state is possible even after the measurement. The stationary cuvette also promotes simple and safe filling and makes cleaning effortless.
The module carrier can be easily pulled out to the front and thus allows a smooth change of the cuvette. When open, the hinged housing allows visual control of the dispersion as well as safe measuring operation due to increased laser protection when the cover is closed.
The modular concept of the HELOS laser diffraction sensors allows this configuration to be systematically expanded with numerous dispersion units and dosing options, thereby opening it up to many more product-appropriate measuring applications.
